First Halloween Makeup Tutorial

I know it's still September but a lot of people like to decide what they are going to be for Halloween early so they can get their costumes and what not! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because you can be whatever you want! This is my first look for this Halloween. I decided to do a dark marionette doll because it is easy to recreate and will look good on anyone who isn't quite sure what exactly they want to be. If you do not want to look "dark" then you can easily change the color eyeshadows and lipsticks to your liking.

I suggest wearing a ruffly dress and top hat with this makeup if you are planning to be a marionette doll for Halloween like this:

Put a Smile on Your Face, Make the World a Better Place.

Today I've been in a super good mood. Hubby and I went to Flo:Dlite which is a self serve frozen yogurt place for the first time. I've never had frozen yogurt before today and I have to say I like it more than ice cream! The inside was painted lime green and hot pink and the set-up was just really cute and clean. It just made my mood a hundred times better. I love when places can do that to you. The people who work there were also very nice and helpful. The concoction we made was soooo yummy. I am definitely going again!

Pistachio frozen yogurt with strawberries, blueberries, mango, coconut, roasted peanuts, Cap'n Crunch, white chocolate chips, and butterscotch!

First you pick your size...

Then your frozen yogurt...

Your fruit toppings...

Candy/nut toppings...

Cool chandelier thing they had.

I also purchased this limited edition Sonia Kashuk brush set at Target! It was $21.99 which is a really good deal for 6 brushes and a case which can also be used as a clutch.  15% of the price goes towards "Circle Around A Cause" which supports The Breast Cancer Research Foundation :) I think the brushes are really good quality. They are super soft but not flimsy. They are rather on the stiff side which in my opinion makes for a better brush because you can apply makeup more precisely.

Super Tiny Haul

Yesterday I went to Ulta looking for a new concealer because the one I am using now (L'Oreal Infallible in Light/Medium) is drying my skin out and is getting a tad bit dark.  I've seen a number of reviews on YouTube about the Maybelline Mousse Concealer and wanted to give it a shot. I used it for the first time today and this stuff is AMAZING! It is so light and creamy and really goes on my skin effortlessly. You only need a little bit of product in order for it to hide dark circles under your eyes and blemishes. There is a dramatic difference compared to the L'Oreal concealer and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is in need of a good concealer.

All I did for this swatch was lightly tap the tip of my index finger in the container and this is how much it covers!

I also picked up these two nail polishes at Ulta.

OPI's "The Color to Watch" & China Glaze's "Watermelon Rind"

The polish on the left is mainly a grayish purple with a blue iridescent sheen when the light hits it.  The polish on the right is a shimmery emerald.

I decided to paint my nails with "The Color to Watch" yesterday.  I am in love with it! It looks so much better up close in person than it does in this picture. It reminds me of the inside of a seashell.

Ulta was having a sale on some of their Maybelline Colorsensation lipsticks so I got this one.

I love these lipsticks because they have so many different shades and they are super moisturizing and last all day.

Pink/berry color.

The color is similar to my natural lip color so it's perfect to wear when I want a more natural, toned down lip.

Where Troubles Melt Like Lemon Drops

The weather has been very undecided lately- one day it's cool and one day it's super hot like today! This is what I wore and how I did my makeup :)

My vest is from Forever21and the tube top is from Walmart.  The stripes look black but they are actually navy blue!

My shorts are Roxy and I got them at Ross.

For my eyes I used the Coastal Scents 78 Eyeshadow & Blush Palette, Terra Bella pigment, Wet n Wild black eyeliner, and Benefit Bad Gal mascara.

On my cheeks I used a blush from the Coastal Scents palette and on my lips I am wearing MAC Cremesheen in Ravishing with Bath & Body Works lipgloss in Frozen Daiquiri on top.

The topaz heart necklace is from eBay, the gold circle necklace is from Michael's, and the gold ring necklace actually came from one of my boyfriend's computer games :D (The Lord of the Rings).  I like mixing silver and gold jewelry from time to time and I thought it would look nice since my outfit was sort of on the plain side.

This snake bracelet was given to me years ago by my uncle for a Christmas present. It's my favorite bracelet of all time!

To tie in all the gold jewelry, I wore my glittery gold TOMS.

Autumn Air

When I stepped outside this morning to go to school and felt the cool breeze on my skin, I knew autumn was here! I love when the weather starts to cool down after all the hot days of summer. After class my hubby and I went to Newport News Park to feed the animals on this gorgeous day! I love doing things like this because you can enjoy the fresh air and all the beautiful colors of nature.

Fun & Sparkly Rainbow Look

So I haven't updated this in a long time. Lo siento! I got inspired to do this look randomly when I was looking at the back of my phone yesterday haha.  I went through this phase during the summer where I bejeweled a lot of my things- phone, makeup container, picture frame, and even my shoes!  This look is definitely not an everyday type of thing but it would be fun to wear every now and then.

Last night my boyfriend and I had a craving for something sweet so we made a late night trip to Walmart to get stuff to make cupcakes! We watched the TV show Cupcake Wars the other night and got inspired to make our own :)

Yummm!

Trying to decide which butter to use.

Tip: Use an ice cream scooper to fill your cupcake liners- it makes things a lot easier, less messy, and also makes your cupcakes all the same size!

Kitty wanted some.

They were so delicious!

My hubby ;)
